Beautiful shrubs
It’s still a surprise to see what kinds of blooming plants we have in the yard. Last spring we were too preoccupied to spend much time outside as we were renovating and painting the interior of our house. This spring, however, we are focusing on the yard, removing some things and adding others. I’ve already shown you the rock garden which is now really going great guns. The moss isn’t taking very well but we’ll see…
We have a gorgeous dogwood tree beside our deck and 2 beautiful rhododendrons. Paul pulled out all the hostas since they are meant for shady areas and somebody had planted them in full sun. They looked so bedraggled that Paul dumped them behind the shed. Surprise! They took hold and now our neighbors to the back have a very pretty view.
A New Camera
What a surprise I had on the day before my birthday when I opened a package from Amazon and found my new camera! My old camera had started taking very unfocused photos. In addition, there were always big white spots scattered throughout the picture. My camera had accompanied us all across the country when we were traveling in our RV. Although I tried to protect it as much as possible, it was with us through some very extreme conditions. It even survived a mine shaft cave-in as did we!
So now I have a beautiful little Canon Powershot A 3300 IS. It came with a cute little padded case and a long metal neck strap as well as a chip, USB cable, and a TV cable. I shot a few practice photos of my pooch, Frazier. What a difference in quality from my old one!
My Pooch, Frazier
Frazier is a Schnoodle, a schnauzer and poodle mix. He came to live with us last May 18th from Animal Rescue Inc. At first he was very timid and I had to stand next to him or else he wouldn’t eat his food. Now that he knows the routine however, he is really feeling cocky. He’s become very adept at anticipating my every move and usually gets to my destination ahead of me. He loves to chase birds and rabbits and his favorite treat is ice cubes!
