I belong to a charitable auxiliary and I would love to make a couple of your sweaters, i.e. the “Soy Simple Sweater” and the “Alder Buckthorn Fitted Jacket”, may I do so with your permission?

    Hello,

Can you recommend a plus size sweater/cardigan pattern? I am an intermediate crocheter. Never made clothing before.

    Thank you,

Olivia, Lion Brand yarn has a whole page of free crochet cardigans patterns. Some of them go up to size 2X. Good luck!

I just want to say thank you for sharing this lovely patterns. As I live in Belgium these patterns aren’t know here, so I always can crochet some thing original and my friends are very pleased with it.

Love your patterns. Really love the side to side jacket. Is there a pattern for it?

Yes Ginny, it is available in Easy Side to Side Jackets and Shrugs by Tammy Hildebrand available through Annie’s Attic. You should be aware, however, that I changed the stitch pattern to suit myself, incorporating crossed triples to make the design more interesting.

Do you still have the Envy Sweater pattern? It is a lovely sweater and I would like to make it.

No Kay. I withdrew this pattern because it was the first one I ever wrote and it wasn’t up to par. Sorry.

All free crochet posted a link for your envy sweater, but I see from your post here that you took it off your site. :-(
    I hope you’ll repost it. It’s a beautiful sweater!!

Thank you Teri! The problem with the Envy sweater was the pattern. I had written when I first started to crochet garments and it was riddled with mistakes that were impossible to correct this late in the game. I’m sorry it has been removed but trust me, you would not have wanted to work that pattern!

Thank you Eileen! I’m going to do the same. When you use the Pound of Love you keep the price low enough to have several of these.

I just love your designs. I was interested in a pattern for the “Green with Envy” sweater that I saw on AllFreeCrochet.com. The link unfortunately doesn’t take me to the pattern. I see by an answer above that the pattern had a lot of mistakes. I wanted to let you know that it is still a beautiful looking sweater and would be a lovely addition to any wardrobe. Perhaps you might rework it sometime..Thanks for sharing your hard work with all of us.

      May 13, 2012 at 9:45 am

Thank you Ann! Sometime in the future I might rework that pattern. It was also a but stiff and the shoulders did not really drape over the tops of the arms but tended to stick out straight. But you’ve given me an idea so I might revisit this pattern another time.

Carol – Check out the link for your “Bog Jacket” pattern – something is wrong. Love your new pattern – the “Up Tempo” vest. Any ideas on a less expensive yarn? I was looking at Berroco’s “Origami”.

      May 29, 2012 at 9:10 am

Hi Linda, I had to transfer the Bog Jacket pattern from my old website to Scribd. The formatting did not transfer well but the pattern is still readable. In the next few weeks I will re-write this pattern and post it in pdf form on my blog to eliminate the formatting issues. I apologize for this. At the time I was transferring my patterns from my old site, this was the only way that I was able to get the pattern on my blog.

And as for that Origami, it’s a beautiful yarn but very expensive. I’m still looking for a replacement and haven’t found one yet. I even worked up a few swatches with other yarns and was never able to get gauge. Berroco’s site states that this yarn is worsted but it really isn’t. It’s a thin yarn with slubbing which has a tendency to make your stitches bigger. So I guess that your project ends up with the same measurements as if you had used worsted weight yarn but the whole thing is much lighter and drapier. I’ve been working with Paton’s Stretch Sock yarn on something else and I was going to give it a try but I haven’t done so yet.

In reguards to hubbies sweater with the self stripping, if you start with the same color, you should get the same stripping as other side ans you could use the yarn clipped off for sewing or fixes or even buttons. Does this make since?

Yes, that does make sense Claire. But it takes a lot more yarn!

You are so nice Vickie! I only make my patterns in one size so I don’t know how helpful they are but I really appreciate your comment. If you find errors in my patterns please let me know so that I can correct them. I am not a professional and I always struggle to get things correct!

Thank you so much for sharing your patterns! I came upon your site accidentally as I was searching for info on McCarthy’s Wildlife Sanctuary out in the area where I live and its like I struck gold! I knit and crochet! You are so talented and your patterns are very easy to read. I’m more a beginner and have made blankets, shawls and easy shrugs but I am going to tackle your Palm Beach Shrug. Thanks again!

I am so confused as to what crochet hooks to use I have come across so many of the same designs and the directions are all different. Can you direct me in the right direction on this lovely palm beach shrug. One says use K hook then one says L and M. So please help me , I love this pattern.

    • Wolf Crochet

      May 8, 2013 at 2:02 pm

Hi Amanda, you should be working with L and M hooks and Version e of the corrected pattern. Ravelry should have the corrected version as well as my blog. Get rid of the other versions please. I’m sorry about the mix-up. I was in Palm Beach when I wrote this pattern and I believe that I had too much sun!
